Ingredients

Rye bread
Vegan mayonnaise or Thousand Island dressing
Field Roast Smoked Tomato Deli Slices
Sauerkraut
Vegan Swiss cheese

Preparations

Spread 2 slices of rye bread lightly with vegan mayo or thousand island dressing. Top with slices of Smoked Tomato Deli Slices (optional: sauté or grill slices in a little oil) then add a slice of vegan Swiss cheese. Put sandwich together and lightly grill on each side until cheese is melted and both sides are crisp and browned.

  1. I am ‘en amour’ with your Reuben recipe. This past weekend, I ordered a Field Roast Reuben on the menu of Luna Park Cafe in West Seattle. I used to love reubens when I (regrettably) ate meat and hadn’t had one in eight years. The cafe made it with, I believe, thick slices of one of your Quarter Loaves. I found this page and recipe so I could try my hand, zipped to Safeway, who didn’t carry Quarter Loaves, so I used your suggested Smoked Tomato Deli Slices and added grilled mushrooms and bell pepper on sourdough. This is my new kick. I love you, Field Roast!
