ABOUT THE FLAVOUR ORIGIN

Dig into the sweeter side of plant-based cuisine with raisins, Honeycrisp apples, and Creamy Original Chao slices.

Ingredients

1 package Creamy Original Chao Slices
2 squares puff pastry, thawed and cut into 6”x6” squares
¼ cup raisins
½ cup Honeycrisp apples, peeled and ¼” diced
¼ cup Port wine
¼ cup vegan butter, melted

Preparations

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine raisins and port in a microwave safe bowl. Cover and microwave for 30 seconds. Allow to sit covered for five minutes.
Slice the stack of Chao slices in half on the bias.

Lay out both sheets of pastry. Place half the apples and half the soaked raisins in a mound on each piece of dough. Place a triangular stack of Chao slices on each mound. Fold the edges up neatly around the cheese stack, overlapping the extra portions of the dough to form a nice looking parcel. Repeat with the additional stack.

Move the two wrapped Chao's to a parchment lined sheet pan and brush with melted butter. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and serve with nice crackers or crusty bread.
