Tex-Mex Chao Holiday Cheese Ball

ABOUT THE FLAVOR ORIGIN

Add some spice to the season with this unique appetizer that blends jalapeno and chipotle flavors with Mexican Style Chao Shreds. Serve it with crackers, or even crudite.

Ingredients

8 oz vegan cream cheese, softened
¼ cup plant-based mayo
7 oz Mexican Style Blend Chao Shreds

1 Tbsp minced jalapeño
1 Tbsp minced shallot
1 chipotle pepper in adobo, minced
2 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp cumin
2 tsp chili powder

½ cup pumpkin seeds, toasted and roughly chopped

Preparations

In a mixer or food processor, combine cream cheese, mayo and half of the chao shreds until fully blended. Stir in jalapeno, chipotle pepper, shallot, garlic, cumin, and chili powder.

Shape mixture into a ball, and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for about an hour.

Roll ball in remaining chao shreds and pumpkin seeds. Serve with crackers and crudites.
