ABOUT THE FLAVOR ORIGIN

Made with artichokes, shallots and Chao Shreds, this delicious dip brings together creaminess and crispiness in a unique, unforgettable way. And it can be ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

14 oz (1 can) artichoke hearts, rinsed and chopped
½ cup shallots, peeled and sliced thin
1 Tbsp safflower oil
½ cup vegan butter, melted
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp black pepper

8 oz vegan cream cheese
½ cup vegan sour cream or yogurt
¼ cup plant-based mayo
1 Tbsp minced garlic
7 oz Creamy Original Chao Shreds
⅓ cup breadcrumbs

Preparations

Preheat oven to 450 degrees

Toss artichokes and shallots with oil, butter, salt and pepper. Spread out on a sheet tray and roast in oven for 10-15 minutes, or until edges start to crisp up and turn golden brown. Remove from oven and chill to room temperature.

In a food processor combine cream cheese, sour cream or yogurt, mayo and garlic. Stir in artichoke hearts, shallots and Chao Shreds. Move to a bakeable dish and top with breadcrumbs. Bake until golden brown and bubbly, about 15 minutes.
