New York – Pretzel Dog Dippers

Inspired by iconic New York City street carts, these Pretzel Dog Dippers made with melted, creamy Chao Cheese and served on skewers put a bold, unexpected twist on the classic ballpark dog. And they hit flavor out of the park.
Ingredients
4 Signature Stadium Dogs
12 Pretzel Bites
1 tbsp Plant-based Butter
½ tsp Garlic
1 tbsp All Purpose Flour
1 cup Malty Beer
1 tsp Dijon Mustard
6 oz Creamy Original Chao Cheese chopped or shredded
¼ tsp Sea Salt
¼ tsp Black Pepper
A pinch of Nutmeg (optional)
1 tbsp Safflower Oil
4 Wooden skewers
Preparations
In a saucepan over medium-low heat, add the butter, flour and garlic. Stir until butter is melted and ingredients are fully combined. Continue stirring as the mixture cooks for 3-4 mins. Add the beer and mustard, and increase the heat to medium. Bring the mixture to just below a boil as it begins to thicken. Add the Chao, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Reduce heat and continue stirring as the mixture becomes smooth.
In a skillet over medium heat, add the oil and stadium dogs. Cook for 2-3 mins. Remove from heat, and slice each dog in to three pieces. Return the skewers to the pan for an additional 2-3 minutes, or lightly grill them on a BBQ for the same amount of time. Move skewers to a plate and serve with Chao Beer Cheese.
