Every year, the entire Field Roast family gets to shut everything down and put a sign on the door to have a summer Field Day! After skipping Field Day last year and moving into our new facility instead, we couldn’t wait for another Field Day. Long-time employees look forward to this day, and many new employees were excited for the new experience. The day was spent at Seattle’s Luther Burbank Park playing games, enjoying good vegan food, swimming and hanging out…on one of the nicest days this summer!
As our company grows, our Field Day grows. We’ve gone from two teams on one bus, to four teams on two buses. A fierce but friendly rivalry has developed among co-workers as we all compete for bragging rights. This year’s teams were led by Daniel from Sanitation (Red Team), Tony from the Mix Room (Purple Team), Maddie from Order Logistics (Blue Team) and Kiley from Marketing (Orange Team). Spoiler alert…Purple Team earned bragging rights.
At Field Roast, working hard is a given as all of our employees labor to create nourishing and tasty Field Roast products, but we also value playing hard. This annual event is a chance to foster community outside of work and to take a day away from our busy office and production facilities to restore in the Seattle sun while it is still with us.

We were pretty hungry after all of the competition & sunshine. Luckily we could count on Tommy, Norman & Rod to make delicious a delicious vegan spread including grilled pizzas, grilled marinated vegetables, potato salad & fruit salad. These grilled pizzas are a hit every year…want to make your own? See the recipe here!
